The Connections play a wide range of music from the 1950s to Today, including Pop, Rock, Rock ‘N’ Roll and Jazz.  We’re based in the South of England and can make your party rock!   Visit our website at http://www.the-connections.co.uk/

We played our first gig in Bristol on 27 November 2010. It was a well-organised ball at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wells Road, with a big crowd of people. Andrew was suffering from the flu and unable to contribute much to backing vocals, but we put on a good show.

Our next gig is in Bristol on 27 November, playing at the Wells Road chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is our first time playing in Bristol and it will be good to play to a new audience, plus hopefully some familiar faces.

We recorded 10 tracks from our extensive repertoire.  These were recorded “live” with no overdubs.  Click on the Song Title to play the music.

We’ve been asked to play at a wedding in Hythe, Kent on 11 September 2010.  The bridegroom is a fan of The Who, and so we may need to start learning some Who numbers for this one.

We’ve been booked to play at a wedding on 12 June 2010 at the Chilworth Manor Hotel in Chilworth, Southampton.  This is a fantastic venue:

We’ve been booked by the Bristol Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to play at their Annual Ball on 27 November 2010.  This will be our first time playing in Bristol and we’re looking forward to performing to a new crowd.

We’re planning to do some recording on 1 May 2010.  This will probably end up as a 5 or 6 track CD of songs from our repertoire.  We’re currently deciding which songs to include.  We intend to upload the final MP3 files to this site along with some video content from the day.  More information to follow.

Congratulations to Alec and Laura. The Connections played at their wedding reception in Enfield on 6 March 2010.  Thanks to Mike Mitchell for these photos.
